Every benefit claim on this site carries an A–F evidence grade. Grade A means multiple well-powered RCTs with consistent results. Grade C means limited human evidence relying mostly on animal or mechanism data. Grade F means a claim we considered and could not support. Grades are visible on every substance page and apply the same rubric across the catalog.

Safety is a 0–5 score combining tolerability, side-effect severity, dependence potential, and interaction profile at typical doses. We default conservative — substances with rare but severe risks (Stevens-Johnson, hepatotoxicity, dependence) carry that weight even if they are well-tolerated by most. Per-jurisdiction legal status sits alongside.
